Prime factorisation(continues...)Textbook p9 #25 and #26

Qns 25:The Prime factorisation of a number is 2^4 X 3^5 X 7^2 X 11.

Write down 3 factors of the number that are greater than 100.

(Hint: 16 X 11 = 176, which is a factor.)

2^4 X 3^5 X 7^2 X 11= 2 095 632

The number is 2 095 632. The factor of the number: 2 095 632 divided by 2=1 047 816 (a factor)

2 095 632 divided by 3=698 544 (a factor)

2 095 632 divided by 4=523 908 (a factor)

So after we divide the number(2 095 632) by 2,3 and 4 we have three factors, which are 1 047 816, 698 544 and 523 908. They are all greater than 100.

Ans:1 047 816, 698 544 and 523 908

Qns 26:The Prime factorisation of two numbers are 2 X 3^2 X 7^3 X 13 and 3 X 7^2 X 13^3 X 17.

Write down 3 common factors of the numbers.

2 X 3^2 X 7^3 X 13= 80 262

3 X 7^2 X 13^3 X 17= 5 490 303

The two number can be divided by 3,7 and 13, so these are the three common factors of the two numbers.

Ans:3,7 and 13

Prime numbers textbook page 8 #24

A mathematician proposed that "Every even number greater than 2 can be expressed as a sum of prime numbers."

Do you agree? Why?

Ans: I agree. Even numbers have several ways to be the sum of two prime numbers. For example, the number 36 can be shown as '5+31', '7+29', or '17+19'. By looking at these examples, it appears that the higher the even number, the more pair of prime numbers there are that add up to it.

There is an assumption that says that every even number can be expressed as the sum of two prime numbers at least in one way. This assumption is called as Goldbach's conjecture, afterChristian Goldbach, a Prussian mathematician who propounded it. it remains to be one of the most ancient problems that is yet not completely solved in the field of mathematics. The conjecture basically states that every even integer that is greater than the number 2 can be expressed as the sum of two primes.

Difference between Isometric, Oblique and Orthographic Drawing.

Oblique drawing:

Isometric drawing is a type of axonometric projection. It is a method of visually representing three-dimensional objects in two dimensions whereas Oblique drawing is a two dimensional images of three dimensional objects.Isometric projection is one of the projections used in technical and engineering drawings.

Orthographic drawings are views (front, side, top, and so on) of an object. An orthographic view is only one side. It takes several views to show all the objects.

ADMT-Environment

An environment is what surrounds a thing or an item. The environment is the surrounding. It could be a physical element - physical environment, that includes the built environment, naturual environment like air conditions, water, land, atmosphere etc or it could be human environment - people surrounding the item or thing.

Adapted from: WikiAnswers URL: http://wiki.answers.com/Q/What_is_the_definition_of_an_environment

In my opinion, environment is the surrounding, something that affects the creatures and non-living things from time to time. We are living in an environment of urban city, with trees and other plants grown around them.

ADMT Lesson 1: Personal Reflection

1. What does ADMT means to you?

Ans: It means using media and technology to design art visually without using any student writing materials with paper.

2. What are the attitude that an ADMT should have?

Ans: They should be interested in art and technology and do their work seriously ,paying attention to the teacher even if they are interested subject or not.

3. What are you aspiration as an ADMT student?

Ans: I hope to become good in doing art work using the laptop and hope this would help me in my future career.

4. How do you think you can achieve your aspiration?

Ans: I can achieve it by working hard and practicing what I have learnt I ADMT.

Communication

1 Why is communication important?

Ans: Yes it is.

2 What is/are your favourite form/s of communication? Why?

Ans: My favorite form of communication is using the telephone as you can get to the person you want to talk to instantly and can talk to each other openly regardless of the distance between both person.

3 How do you decide which form of communication to use in a situation?

Ans: If I want to talk to a person far away from me I will use a telephone while if I want to communicate with a person that is overseas I will write a letter to that person.

4 What difficulties do you face in communicating with others?

Ans: When talking with a person my pronunciation is not that good so sometimes the person could not hear what I am saying clearly and I have to repeat what I said.

The amazing race: Reflection

I understand that expanding our learning network is to go beyond my comfort zone and learn things outside the school instead of learning at school all the time. This value is important as learning things somewhere else can allow us to know more things beside the stuff we learn at school, enabling us to expand our knowledge even broader. This value will help our learning experience by enriching us with more knowledge.

Team Building Challenge: Personal Reflection

I undertand that we must strive to succeed in order to ' Forge Excellence' and never give up. I learn things a bit slow but once I grab the concept of that particular subject I do really well in it and would always try to do even better. I think I should be more focus in learning so that I would excel in things that I do. In order to contribute to help my class succeed I can teach those classmates who are weaker in their studies.

Bridge Building Project:Reflections

I feel good working with my team on the project though sometimes my team would argue over sme things. The interactions with my team members was quite well except for some disagreement over some things. I have learnt that I must communicate with my team more and in the future I will give more ideas to my team members. I do not experience anything working with my team as they work well with me.
